Fat Yoga Casual Classes

Fat yoga is about creating a non judgmental, open minded & body positive space for everyone. 
We believe in making yoga accessible so our yoga classes are suitable for all bodies & fitness levels. Beginners are extremely welcome!
We believe that by giving visibility to the word fat, we can take back the power on a word that can be so destructive. Fat is just a descriptive word and everyone has their own relationship with the word. We want to contribute to changing the definition of what society has deemed beautiful, strong and flexible.

About the class
This weekly class is taught by Yoga & Mindfulness teacher Kristina Cavit who is passionate about making yoga accessible for everyone. She loves teaching beginners & creating a safe, welcoming fun space. Kristina focuses on how yoga poses feel, rather than how they look.
This class will help you develop physical and mental strength, flexibility & vitality. Each class will include mindfulness meditation to develop calm & focus. 

$15 per class
Ponsonby Community Center

Mindfulness 9 Week course at Grey Lynn Primary

In this fun 9 week course, we explore mindfulness meditation & yoga in a hands-on way through group & partner activities, art & crafts, play, breathing & yoga asana.
Children will learn tools to develop calm, compassion, confidence focus and gratitude.
All year levels are welcome & no previous experience is necessary. Please wear comfy clothes for yoga.

This course takes places at Grey Lynn Primary school - you will be notified of which room. We take a very small number of students so please book in asap to secure your space.

Mondays 3.15 - 3.45pm (starting week 2 of term 2) $180, Grey Lynn Primary

This 6 week course is for students of all levels - beginners are extremely welcome. You will explore the fundamentals of yoga & meditation in a relaxed, non judgemental environment where you'll be encourgaed to go at your own pace. The course is taught by Yoga & Mindfulness teacher Kristina Cavit who believes that yoga is  for everybody and is passionate about making yoga accessible for everyone. She loves teaching beginners & creating a safe, welcoming fun space. Kristina focuses on how yoga poses feel, rather than how they look.

Mindfulness & Stress Reduction 4 Week Course

4 Week Mindfulness & Stress Management Course

This 4 week course helps you learn what it means to be hooked to negative behaviors, and how to live in a way that reduces stress & anxiety. The course explores how to find more joy, calm & ease in our day to day lives. Join Mindfulness Coach & Educator, Kristina Cavit, as she supports you to let go of stressful thinking & negative patterns. 

In this course we will explore:
- The Work of Byron Katie
- Mindfulness Meditation
- Stress reduction techniques
- How to identify what's causing you to suffer
- How to bring practical mindfulness & stress reduction techniques into even the busiest of lives

This course is for people who want to improve their quality of sleep, rest & relaxation.

- how to self care for better sleep

- practical tools to improve your sleeping habits

- meditation for sleep 

Each course will include a restful relaxation practice to leave you feeling calm & restored.

Kristina Cavit is a guest speaker at  The Women's Collective  event where she will speak on her personal experience with mindfulness, how to manage stress & overcome what's holding us back. Kristina will guide the audience through a meditation practice & leave you with a practical toolkit for the year ahead.
