In this two hour workshop we will explore yin yang yoga (dynamic and relaxing yoga) and mindfulness meditation, to leave us feeling relaxed and inspired for the holiday season.
We will explore the foundations of yin yoga and how it is accessible for all bodies - beginners are extremely welcome. Yin yoga is a slow, relaxing style of yoga where poses are held for a longer time to activate the connective tissues for healthy joints. The class will start and end with a guided mindfulness meditation from Kristina Cavit to help us to de stress, calm and relax. Kristina will also talk about her experience with mindfulness, the benefits practice & how to bring mindfulness into even the busiest of days. This is a body positive, safe, non judgemental space. All shapes, sizes & fitness levels are welcome.
The workshop will be at the beautiful yoga ground studio on Surrey Crescent. We'll end the workshop with bliss balls and kombucha. Mats, props and blankets provided.

What is Fat Yoga?
Fat Yoga is about creating a non judgmental, open minded and body positive space for
everyone. We believe that by giving visibility to the word ‘fat’, we can take back the power on a word that can be so destructive.
We want to contribute to changing the definition of what society has deemed beautiful,
strong and flexible.
“Inspired by the Fat activism movement, we wanted to create a place where people could
come together feel safe and look after themselves,” adds co-founder Sarah-Jane Duff. “As a fatty, I know my body moves and makes shapes differently, so I set out to make my own
class, a class that catered to me, my body with other bodies like mine next to me.”
