Fat Yoga is about creating a non judgmental, open-minded & body-positive space for everyone. We believe in making Yoga accessible so our Yoga classes are suitable for all bodies & fitness levels. We believe that by giving visibility to the word ‘fat’, we can take back the power on a word that can be so destructive.Beginners are extremely welcome in our central and west Auckland classes. Fat Yoga NZ was created by Sarah-Jane Duff and Kristina Cavit.
Our 6 week courses are for students of all levels. You will explore the fundamentals of Yoga & meditation and you'll be encouraged to go at your own pace. Our Yoga & Mindfulness teachers focus on how yoga poses feel, rather than how they look. Each class includes meditation to develop calm & focus.
Please bring your own props if you would like them (blanket, cushion, block, bolster). We really recommend bringing a blanket.
